Variables
White-throated Swift
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with 24-82% big
sage and April precipitation (hex. med.) of 22-99 mm. Where no big
sage, occurred mostly where there is at least 9% Northeast Oregon
canyon grassland. The apparent distribution pattern might have been
influenced somewhat by observer effort. The logistic regression
analysis showed positive or negative association with big sagebrush
shrubland, and-to a lesser degree-freshwater marsh, topographic
variation, the extent of public land, and April precipitation (hex. min.).
